Bill of Rights Project

Assignment:  Create either a power point, booklet or poster that describes each of the 10 rights that are guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.
Nuts and Bolts
·        All work must be in your own words, you may use the resources that we have been working on in class.  DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA
·        Proofread, proofread, proofread.  Check for spelling and capitals and make sure that sentence make sense
·        Make sure your name is on your project
·        Grading:  Each Amendment will be worth 10 points for a total of a 100.  Points will be deducted if the information for an amendment is missing or inaccurate.
·        You will have two and a half days in class to work on this.  Due Friday 12/8
Criteria: 
1.      Create a title page with the title, what the Bill of Rights is and your name
2.      Identify, in your own words, the protection in each of the rights (include the number).
            For example:  The 1st Amendment gives us the right to speech which means that we can say and express ourselves how we want to.  There are some limits.  It also gives us freedom to practice what religion we want.  We have the right to assemble, or gather, peacefully.  It provides citizens with the freedom to write what they want with the freedom of the press, there are some limits.  Also, if people want to write a petition the government they can. 
3.      Include a real life scenario for each amendment.
            For example:  1st Amendment.  If a person wants to write a letter to the editor expressing his or her feelings about something that is happening in the community or with government, he/she is protected under the freedom of press to do this.
4.      Include a picture for each of the amendments
