Today in History:  50 years ago, on this day in 1965, Ralph Nadar (consumer advocate) published a best seller entitled Unsafe at Any Speed about the dangers of cars and the way that they were manufactured.  His book is said to have changed the auto industry and prompted the passage of the National Traffic and Safety Act and the Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 and seat belt laws in all 49 states, except New Hampshire!

In case you did not know, this happened today in history:

On Nov. 14, 1851, Herman Melville's novel "Moby-Dick; Or, The Whale" was published in the United States, almost a month after being released in Britain.


Tonight's Homework:  Think of ideas for your Principle of the Constitution Small group assignment.  Each group will present tomorrow.


In the near future: Quiz on the Structure and Principles of the Constitution Friday 11/18.


Community Service Projects presentations will be December 19-21st
